At a Parade in late 1960’s in front of the VFW

This pic is from a parade in the late 1960’s. Unclear if it is from a Memorial Day Parade. More likely that this is from the 100th anniversary of the VFW Parade in 1969. Facing camera is Mark Bingham. His brother, Chip, is seated to Mark’s right. Mrs. Ferguson and Mrs. Bingham are seated to his left. It appears to be Mrs. Morgante above Mrs. Ferguson. If anyone knows when that Clear Water Act proposition was on the ballot, we could figure out what year this photo was taken.

The Clean Water Proposition 1 sign in background tells us this is 1965, as NY residents would vote that November on a bond to clean up the polluted waters. Hastings’ Charlie Callison was instrumental in getting this passed, and it all led to the federal Clean Water Act of 1972.
